Lurking Souls

The first Lurking Souls comic is up. I know its not what I intended. Anyway right now it's going to be a weekly comic. So from now on all comics from this site will be on lurking souls. Why two sites you ask? Easy candy apples will be a free for all and lurking will be only for the comics(in 2 months you'll probably be calling me a liar). Ok for candy apples news. Sys was talking about putting a game review section up on the site. There is a strong possibility that this'll happen. Cause what's is better than game reviews? Game reviews from people with filthy mouths. Oh if you all haven't caught the Masters of Horror series on showtime your missing out. The Stuart Gordon one was the shit. It's based on a Lovecraft story, and we all know that hear and candy apples we're coo coo for H.P. Lovecraft.

The new comic is based on an actual conversation we had last night. Too funny. The background is different than nomal, I just finished reading Arkham Asylum so you do the math.

It's passed

Well it looks like I let shit get the better of me and I apologize. After sitting back and thinking about it I realizes that all this was, was an angry reaction to something that I shouldn't have let bother me. For a brief few days I forgot why I do what I do.
So it's back to my good ole self and let's have more fun. Thanks for the responses.

Whore

There has been some changes to the site. Bad Art is gonna be an experiment in making garbage artsy fartsy art, and taking a bite of the shit sandwich that is the "Art" community. It has recently come to my attention that if you want to make money with you art don't try and find you own voice, rip off the past, spout bullshit and constantly suck your own dick in public. I do believe there is good work out there but the money is in crappy work. Oh, and I have nothing against the Inuit people they are just used to illustrate a point, so if at any point I offend someone. Blow me.

I decided to not color or paint this one I think it works well as a drawing. These are the beginning of a series of an yet to be named project.

Head Injury Theater

If candy apples had a long lost big brother it would be Head Injury. I found out about this site first through the webcomics telethon and on the same day saw name on some of the entries(and I think he won), in Halloween art contest. So I went to the site and realized we were doing similar things with our sites. It was if I was able to see into the future and see what candy apples could become. This is the site that I learned about the 24 hour comic, and cafepress from. I've been debating about whether or not to post about this in fear of sounding like some giddy 13 year old girl giggling about whatever 13 year old girls giggle about. Fuck it, this site is definitely worth checking out, and this is my way of saying thank you for the unintentional guidance.

Back to Normal

Well the site is back to normal. New site going up in Nov. Candy Apples will get a face lift and were welcoming a new addition to the family, www.lurkingsouls.com. This will take care of all our comic needs. Lots of work. But lots of fun. Thanks again for those of you that participated in what turned out to be a 16 hour comic.

Half Way

12 hours down, 12 more to go. I'm no way near getting this all done on time. What I've learned so far: the 24 hour comic or anything for that matter is a lot harder than I thought. Also when attempting your first full page comic it's probably best not to do it as a 24 hour marathon. Plus I need to figure out a better way to create these. My normal way of drawing stuff for the site is a time consuming process, so it doesn't lend itself to this experiment. I've spent some time working on these and the bitch of it is it doesn't show. Anyway I've wasted enough time writing this. More putting the actual work off. Shame on me.

24 hour Comic

It's on. Thursday 24 pages in 24 hours. What it ends up being about is up to you. So leave comments. Also leave a let me know if you'd rather see it in color or black and white. So I don't cheat I'm not going to read any comments until Thursday when I start. Check in starting Thursday I'll be updating every hour on my progress. I'm excited and a little scared. But it should be fun. I hope to hear from whoever is coming here.

It's October!

You'll notice that some stuff has disappeared from the site. It's ok well miss them but they had to die so we could make room for some new stuff. Are you guys excited? I am.

The store is up. I also posted the Dead Alive review it's a good one. I'm a big fan of this movie and was glad when persecution decided to review it. Also a review of Monkey Shines has been posted as well.
